Hey jeepman thanks for remembering my post. yeah everthing works on coolant. Right-read the thread. thanks. the one post within the thread was promising as it mentioned 4 or 5 belts by manufacturers that would do the trick. I wish he would have expanded more as said he tried it and worked or...

ok that is what I will do. thanks for recommendation. thanks. I took hydrometer again and checked radiator fluid. the temperature was luke warm if that is significant, easy to touch with the finger. hydrometer registered above the 265 and below --40 degrees. I did peck at the hydrometer to...

Before I did a flush on the van I went and bought a prestone hydrometer at walma. the needled registered 265 degree protection and -44 degrees. I put a gallon of 50/50 back in march 2016 after putting radiator in. Prior to that for Two weeks while waiting to find the leak I was having I also...

Jeepman--thanks for help, as well as other contributors. sorry to ask for clarification again, especially for something seems so simple of a task. 4th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2001-2007
Ok. I will look and see if grocery has the demineralized. I thought it would be more priced then distilled. Levy thanks for the explanation. you still use the hose water though because I saw that prestone package and saw that it included an end that the user could screw on the end of a hose...
  11. coolant flush h20 hose vs distilled

    4th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2001-2007
thank you. I will go with distilled water. but still don't see how adverse hose water could be since the water will be hot and removed after about 10 minutes for flushing. I guess a lot of people do things to be "safe" without knowing facts. but "a just in case" strategy serves well. it's just...
  12. coolant flush h20 hose vs distilled

    4th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2001-2007
I have read over time use distilled water only when flushing vs. garden hose water. I understand calcium comes and other minerals come through the hose which creates problems. However if I flush with the garden hose water and have the engine running to normal range; does a significant amount...

Thanks for the info. MOPAR fun. You said "IF there is carbon build-up or the spring got kinked or both, that 45mph could be at the sweet spot for your troubles." But you also said the IAC kicks in when foot is off the pedal. So since the IAC kicks in only during idle, then how can the IAC be...
