  1. Pacifica height, and Uconnect/Android

6th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2017 and Up Chr
Hi, I had a couple of quick questions about the current Pacifica. I drive a 2012 T&C and I love it. Does the Pacifica ride as high as the T&C/Caravans? I like sitting upright, up above the traffic, and I hate the semi-prone low-to-the-ground feeling of a typical small sedan. My T&C's seats...
  2. Minnesota!

    The Fireplace
I live in the Boston area, which is Japanese Car City. No one around here seems to buy American...ever. Except me, apparently, in my trusty 2012 T&C (full disclosure, was manufactured in Ontario). My daughter and I have a little game where we count the number of Chrysler minivans versus...
  3. Has anyone seen a Pacifica in the wild?

I finally got to drive one! Visited my mom in Austin, rented a minivan from Enterprise, and they let me take the silver Pacifica with 33 miles on it. This was an eight-seater (middle seat was folded down into drink holder position). It lacked certain options such as the hands-free hatch and...
  4. Fuel efficiency in a 5th Gen - what's your MPG?

    5th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2008-2019
I'm curious what kind of miles per gallon people are getting with their Chrysler minivans. Mine (2012 T&C) gets 20-22 for in-town driving, 25-27 for extended highway driving. This week I hit 29 mpg. My goal in life is to break 30. Probably won't get there this week, though, because will not...
  5. Has anyone seen a Pacifica in the wild?

She would be worried, if I ever let her drive it  Way more practical and cheaper than a pickup, for my purposes.

In the past 4 weeks, I've seen two Pacificas in the wild here in the Boston area. Can't say as it gives me any particular impression from the outside, but I'm usually behind the wheel of my 2012 T&C and I have this irresistible temptation to pull up alongside and say "Let's drag." I always...
  7. Replacement left + right headlight assemblies for 2012 T&C - suggestions?

Exterior Body & Lighting Accessories & Care
That sounds like good advice. Maybe I'll start with replacing the leaky one and also get some Philips X-Treme halogens to brighten things up.... I've heard that HID is excessively bright for oncoming drivers - is that the case, or is it that they are improperly aimed?
  8. Replacement left + right headlight assemblies for 2012 T&C - suggestions?

Exterior Body & Lighting Accessories & Care
My 2012 Town & Country headlights work, but they're not very bright. I got this car used a few months ago and I assume these are OEM. One of them is full of condensation. Rather than mess with brighter bulbs and trying to seal the leak, I'd rather replace them with clean new headlight...
  9. Has anyone seen a Pacifica in the wild?

Months ago, I was quite intrigued by the original announcements and reviews of the Pacifica minivan. In the meantime, I picked up a 2012 T&C because that's what my budget allowed, but I've been keeping up with the Pacifica news. Strangely, I have yet to see one of these bad boys out there on...
  10. Pacifica - buy or not to buy questions

6th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2017 and Up Chr
Try as I might, I can't get the price over $49,775. What options did you add to get it that high? Or are the prices just higher in Canada? The Pacifica starts at $28,595 MSRP. After incentives, zero-interest financing and assuming a bit of bargaining, I was able to come up with about $32K as...
  11. CD player?

6th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2017 and Up Chr
You can get an inexpensive portable CD player powered by AA cells ($20 to $30, for example a Jenson or Coby), and play it via a stereo AUX cable from the CD to the AUX IN jack on the car stereo which I hope and assume it has. Not as nice as having it built-in, but at least it's cheap. For more...
  12. Pacifica - buy or not to buy questions

6th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2017 and Up Chr
What did you end up buying, OP? For me, it's a no-brainer. If I'd had the money, I'd have bought a Pacifica without hesitation. Unfortunately, I didn't, so settled for a 2012 Town & Country with 69K on it (plus a 24 month extended warranty). Then, we suddenly lost our rental home and...
  13. 2012 T&C leaning to the driver's side

Suspension, Brakes, Steering, Tires & Wheels
Thanks; I did, and they replaced a shock. The car leans less, though still doesn't feel completely level, but maybe that's my imagination, coupled with a slightly "off" driver's seat. Overall, a very pleasant driving experience, now.
  14. Front Facing Camera Mod

    5th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2008-2019
That's really cool. Are you doing this as a kind of dash cam, or more of a "real time" monitor like the rear cam? Also, how did you connect it into your head unit's screen? Nice job.
  15. 2012 T&C - how to add navigation

    5th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2008-2019
I just got a 2012 T&C with 69K miles. Really nice vehicle, loaded except for no navigation. It was good enough in other respects that I decided to take it. The dealer thought maybe I could download navigation for $689, but Chrysler Uconnect website tells me there's no way to "download" the...
  16. 2012 T&C leaning to the driver's side

Suspension, Brakes, Steering, Tires & Wheels
Hi, ChryslerMiniVan forum, I've joined here because I just got a 2012 Town and Country with 69K on it. It's generally awesome, but I've been noticing something strange. When I'm on the highway, especially, it feels like the vehicle is listing to the left, that is to the driver's side. It's as...
