Not seeing much info about this task on this forum or other places. Youtube has a useless 6 year old video. Not many people seem to know this part exists - I certainly did not until recently. I had been putting up with what looked like a leaking oil pan gasket. I fixed it about 3k miles ago...

Hey everybody, I've just tore into the 3.8L engine on a new-to-me 2006 T&C that I bought as a fixer-upper. I removed the intake manifold and discovered some gouges where the manifold meets up with the engine block and some obvious repair signs to the manifold, as well. It's obviously been...

I just replaced the water pump on my 2000 GV SE with a Cardone Select water pump (Rock Auto) that has a the rubber o-ring seal. The original pump had no o-ring, just a gasket. The new pump with o-ring is leaking. Is there a trick to this type of install? Should I just create a gasket and forgo...

2002 Grand Caravan, 3.3L, 165k hard miles, automatic trans. About to replace the harmonic balancer, wondering what else yall would recommend I do while I'm down there. Parts shop says I'll need to replace the timing cover gasket...but that also "says" I'd need to replace the valve cover...

Hello all, going to do a pan drop on my 02 DGC 3.8 Front Wheel Drive soon. I have heard that theres a mopar gasket with a metal reinforced core to prevent over tightening of the trans pan, does anyone know where I can find it and do any of you have any experience with it? Also on rockauto theres...

I have a 2005 Town & Country with the 3.8L engine. It has 196000 miles on it. The engine runs smooth, and does not have any drive-ability issues. However, the cooling system loses about 2+ quarts of coolant every 400 miles. I do not see evidence of coolant in the engine oil. A mechanic pressure...

Should I use a gasket sealer when replacing the oil pan gasket? If so, does the sealer go on both surfaces of the gasket? Same for the valve cover gasket? Best type of gaskets, carboard, cork, or other? Anything else I should know, not having done this before? Thanks!

I put in a salvage engine this weekend... first time for doing something like this. It all went smooth, now I am replacing gaskets, tune-up items... Can someone tell me what this line is, and what is the gasket? I can not find any reference to it and don't know what kind of gasket I need to buy...

I have a 2005 Town and country 3.8 Liter with 100,000 miles. I have always run synthetic oil and have developed a leak for the second time from the oil pan. The dealer replaced the oil pan gasket 2 years ago, (38,000 miles ago) and now it is leaking again. I had it in the dealer this week for...

Hey every one I need some help, my transmission leaks. Not the pan gasket but this thing a little further to the rear of the van. It's like a plate thing bolted to the transmission and looks like it's sealed with gasket sealant stuff. Leaks pretty good and I tightened up 3 bolts that were loose...
