    5th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2008-2019
Hi, I am new to the forum. I have a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country Touring with 3.8L OHV Engine and 113k miles. I should prefix this post by saying that this van/engine has been always burning oil at a rate of about 1qt. per 3k miles at 20k miles and a rate of 1qt. per 1k miles now (113k)...

    4th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2001-2007
Hey guys, I have an'04 T&C, 160K miles, which has a rough idle. I hooked up a scanner to the vehicle yesterday and here's what I found. STFT -3 LTFT 16 Increase in idle brings the LTFT down, so assuming I have a vac leak. I am going to do a smoke test, but I think the issue lies between an...

    4th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2001-2007
New guy here. So we bought this van from my in-laws a few years ago. Loved it so far. Its been to Florida and back multiple times...all in all, great little van. Until recently. About a month back, it started hitting us with a P0420... well, there were no other noticeable issues so I pulled...
  4. P0420 Code Returns after new Converter and new O2 sensors

    4th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2001-2007
I need some help. Four months ago, I changed the Catalytic Converter and both O2 sensors with Chrysler parts. Everything was good for three months, now the P0420 is back. Any ideas? The 2006 has 152K miles and is on the second CC. I have one of those 3.8's that burns lots of oil and the CC...
  5. Trouble diagnosing if O2 sensor or catalytic converter

    4th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2001-2007
I have an 06 T&C 3.8L and its been throwing a P0420 catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 1 code. I have replaced both front and back O2 sensors after reading that the code could be the sensors & to try that first to see if its just the sensors. I did a big tune up while replacing the...
  6. p0135 code popping up about every 10 days.....

    4th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2001-2007
......I've just been clearing the code. But, I'm changing all plugs & wires next week and the upper O2 sensor would be right there. What I would like to know is if the O2 sensor itself is, in fact, causing the code, or wiring. Can I do a continuity test on the O2 sensor to verify that it is...
  7. P0032 and P0038 on 2008 3.3 L

    5th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2008-2019
The malfunction light came on yesterday but was out today. A scan showed both P0032 and P0038. The light came back on after driving it a bit more today. Since its both sensors, it makes me think its probably not a O2 sensor failure but rather a bad wire or fuse. What do you guys think? Can...
  8. Taking inventory of possible hicup causes

    4th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2001-2007
Hello all, I am new to this forum, not to forums in general... My wife and I purchased a 2007 T&C Touring with 3.8L with about 92K miles on it. Originally a fleet vehicle for a local company. It is starting to have sporadic fluttering both idle and at speed. It feels a LOT like when the O2...
  9. Question about o2 sensor

    4th. Generation Chrysler Minivans: 2001-2007
Could an o2 sensor be causing my terrible MPG (averaging 17.5 mpg)? I scanned it and there are no codes, could the sensor still be bad? I have changed spark plugs and wires and air filter.... No change though....:(
  10. On a 05 3.8 Grande Caravan, witch 02 sensoris 1/2 ??

    3.8L V6 Tech Talk
Just got the van back from the dealer, they told me it is showing sensor 1/2 as bad. But won't tell me which sensor it is, but for $150 they will replace it. The van has 145000 miles and was showing no service engine light when it went in, but now?? Thanks for any information.
