Traveling along just fine when transmission starting spinning and van refused to go. Pulled over and let set a few minutes, started it back up and got the van going again. As it changed gears the van jerked 3 times and then stayed in 3rd. At home looked the issues up and was told it is in limp mode. Changed fluid, filter and read the codes, 700 and 733 mostly. The van will go 50, 60 miles an hour, but the rpms are up to 4000 and over. Have been driving it this way for almost 2 months now. I am afaid that the 3.3 might give up on me, strong motor though. Looked into input and output sensors, TPM and PCM but nothing has changed. Any suggestions as I do not want to nickel and dime this van to death.

Limp mode is second gear, and I would not be driving it around at those speeds in second gear. Since second and reverse work, that means the basic hydraulics are good. I don't know what those codes mean, except 700 is a general transmission fault code. I'm guessing the inside of the transmission pan looked normal? Could be a wiring fault or a bad solenoid pack (box thing on front of transmission).

You've had good luck with not blowing the engine. Still needs a solenoid pack or a transmission. If you don't want to fix it, keep driving it until something breaks and strands you, or sell it as a repairable with transmission issues.
