My 2008 T&C fails to start about every 2-3 months. When the failure occurs, the Van has typically been setting a for a while (1/2 to 2 hours) in a parking lot. On these occasions the motor doesn't turn over and there is no sound when you turn the key. When left to set a several more hours or over nigh, the T&C will start just fine.

The battery checks out fine, the dealer replaced the starter and it has been checked out with the dealer's routine and advanced (more $$$) testing equipment. They say they cannot fine the problem. Any suggestions?

Try starting it in Neutral, or after switching to Drive and back to Park when it happens again. If it then starts, you'll know it's your neutral safety switch (transmission range sensor) on the transmission.... Have you checked your ground cable connections on engine and chassis?

Since the engine is silent and doesn't even crank I don't think it is the TIPM. The TIPM usually causes the car to act like the fuel pump had failed meaning it will crack but not start.
