Hello, new to they forum, I have been seeing all these helpful threads about how to check your transmission oil levels by adding hash marks to your oil dipstick or purchasing an dealers temporary dip stick. My issue is a non issue, it seems that my van came with an installed dipstick with tube. Is this normal? I was under the impression that they were not made with dipsticks. This is in a formal college fleet vehicle, 2008 town and country with 36,000 miles on it. Transmission fluid is clean and smells ok. The only problems I have to dat is severely worn front break pads and some body dings and a tire valve that broke. Thanks.

3.3L with 41TE 4 speed electronic transmission, maybe. The 62TE 6 speed electronic transmission came with the larger engines and has a dipstick tube with a plug on top, no dipstick.
