Need to replace starter and curious what is involved. I have seen 2 scenerios. 1. Just remove two bolts and wires and swap out. 2nd version have to remove fan shroud, exhaust pipe and mounting bracket. Looking at the starter I see I will have to remove the O2 sensor. But my question is can I get the starter out between the exhaust pipe and main bracket. This job is either an hour job or a 4-5 hour job. Looking for advice, thanks in advance.....

The metal piece you’re referring to is not a gasket it is a spacer and depending on the model of vehicle it may not be required
