2019 Pacifica S "Build" Thread

Picked up my 2019 Pacifica S in November of 2022. This was the day after I brought it home:

I bought it because it was as close to "what I wanted" as any stock vehicle would ever come. I knew I wanted to do a few tweaks to make it mine, but I said I was in no rush to start modding again. I came from a completely modified/built 1994 Voyager. My Pacifica shares the driveway with a 2018 Grand Caravan that's also modded, so I'm no stranger to modifying minivans.

It's relatively quick, handles well, and the PUG engine has a much nicer power delivery than the non-PUG in the GC, so I figured I would just do some minor tweaks and be happy. This started with simple headlight/fog light upgrades:

Automotive parking light Vehicle Car Automotive lighting Hood

Just a simple "hyper white"/"yellow" combo up front. This led to ordering some smoked LED markers:
Wheel Car Tire Vehicle Automotive side-view mirror

Then just before 70k miles, the factory brakes were finally in need of replacement, so the got upgraded to Powerstop Drilled/Slotted rotors with their Z23 pads:

Of course while doing the brakes, I ended up building a shorty intake for it as well.

Parts:
3" to 4" 90° coupler.
Section of 4" exhaust pipe.
Filter.
Cut the PCV bung off the old intake and installed it into the pipe.

I've since modified the cold air duct and reinstalled it, but initial findings on back to back testing showed how terrible the factory intake was overall.

Stock intake:
Intake temps idling in traffic held consistently over 115°F, with the highest spike seeing 130°F.
Normal cruising, temps held 85-90°F.
Lowest intake temp recorded was 75°F on a long uphill pull.

New intake:
Highest recorded 92°F in traffic.
Normal cruising, temps held 55-60°F.
Lowest temp recorded was 50°F on the same long uphill pull.

So consistently lower intake temps than the factory intake.
Response is greatly improved.
Low/mid rpm power seems better with less downshifting on hills.
Knocked .3 secs off 0-60 times.

With all that done, I decided to finish the looks portion of my modding, which consisted of smoking out the rear.

And now the taillights are actually tolerable to look at instead of being obnoxious and blinding to other drivers.

I will be doing coils/plugs soon , intending on using Ripp coils and NGK Ruthenium plugs, otherwise the rest of the upgrades/mods will wait until something fails.

Suspension will end up being OEM+, which will mean a 1.5" drop with 15% higher spring rates on otherwise stock suspension to tighten things up a little more and give a little more aggressive look.

Engine mounts will get replaced with 80A Urethane filled OEM mounts.

Looking at a VanKulture front lip and rear wing.

Trying to mostly keep it mild this time, but who knows what the future will hold for it.

I am trying to deal with getting my hood repaired under the factory corrosion warranty, but shops are giving me the run around because I didn't buy it from them.

Can I take it to any body shop to get it fixed and Chrysler will reimburse the shop?

When you say intake do you mean the intake manifold or the cold air intake pipe thinamajiggy?

The intake piping.
I do however intend to port/port match the intake manifold when it's off for the coils/plugs.

I see you are from Wisconsin. I am from the Milwaukee area. We have two Pacifica's in our family that had the corrosion issue and I also have a 2018 Charger that had the corrosion issue. I had the run around too on my Charger but not on my family's Pacifica's. My Charger I took to Gandrud Dodge in Green Bay. Absolutely wonderful to deal with no questions asked and prompt. 5 star all the way. The others went to Van Horn in Manitowoc and they didn't have any issues. I had no luck with the dealers in Milwaukee. Total lack of awareness on the issue and of no desire to help. Chrysler will not at least from all I have learned from these 3 vehicles allow you to take it to just any body shop. It has to be a Chrysler body shop. Not sure where you are located in the state but if anywhere close to those two dealers, I would give them a call.

Finally had a chance to record a pull with the intake on.
It is starting to miss more, so I know there is some left on the table yet, but it is still .4-.5 secs quicker than stock 0-60.

Ripp coils and NGK plugs are in. The miss is gone and she's running like a dream.

Can't say I notice a performance difference, but the idle miss and mid rpm hiccup is gone, so it's definitely running right again.
And yes, my engine bay is dirty, it's WI and we're in the 4 seasons in a day stage...

Ordered a "lip kit", diffuser, and exhaust tip yesterday. So they'll be going on when they arrive as well.

Lip splitter kit arrived yesterday, so I got it installed last night.

Van needs a 1.5-2" drop now to finish off the look, but I dig it.
Rally Armor Flaps will be going on this weekend.

I finally found what you were talking about,,,🤣 What purpose does it serve and is there one in the back too?

Honest answer, nothing but looks.
There's the little ones on the sides of the back bumper as well.

Diffuser should be here tomorrow, so that'll be the last piece for now.

When it needs suspension in the future it'll get a 1.5-2" drop.
I intend on getting the Clinched Ducktail spoiler.
The full Clinched kit is on the list, but that'll be distant future.

Now I guess I just enjoy the drive until it comes time for suspension. Then the question is "RSR lowering springs or Megan coilovers"?
