OK, In my '97 Caravan I've got the Infinity system with CD controls on the head unit. Were all dealer installed changers in-dash units? Did they fit in the cubby below the cupholder? Has anyone installed one? How'd it go?

I have an accessory book and it says the changer can be mounted there, but in a special console that replaces the storage bin (three part numbers depending on color, likely not available anymore). It can also be mounted under the driver seat, at least a manually adjustable one. In-dash changers were nor offered.

OK, thanks for the update. The changers were a bit more on ebay than I was expecting and apparently they need to be programmed by the dealer, so I'll probably live with what I've got. Thanks much! -NP

They're plug-and-play, and same units were used in other models, so it should be possible to find a used one cheap if you wait.
