I'm replacing a flexplate on a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country with 147K miles. The vehicle has seen mostly long distance highway driving. Since I have to remove the 62TE transmission to replace the flexplate, this might be a good time to address any transmission weaknesses or potential issues. Presently the only two issues are a slight clunk when shifting into gear and a slight over-rev when shifting into overdrive.
Are there parts I should preemptively replace? Or, should I just replace the flex plate and put the transmission back in and address any future problems when they occur. Or, should I just rebuild the transmission with a master kit and new solenoid pack to freshen it up for the next 150K miles?
Some things that could get replaced or upgraded are:
Torque Converter replace
Solenoid Pack replace
Transmission Fluid and Filter (no-brainer)
Software re-flash
Valve Body replace
Seals, Bushings and Gaskets
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
