Went to help a friend start her car with a dead battery, jump box not fully charged so didn't work, didn't have jumper cables along so removed battery and installed mine to start it. All went well till I was putting my battery back and accidentally got it backwards, when connecting second cable there was a large ark. I knew immediately what I had done so turned it around and reinstalled it. All seemed fine, van started right off so breathed a sigh of relief. Went to the back and tried to open the hatch, not working tried the unlock button, not working, but the automatic hatch switch opened it. Then noticed I had no computer readout up above, no temperature etc. Drove on to town and van ran normally but the ABS and brake light symbols came on the dash. Stopped and checked the fuses and found the 20A IOD fuse blown. Wrapped a small copper wire strand around it replaced it and door chime, radio and a number of other things started working but not the overhead trip computer so knew I still had problems.
What I know now so far that is not working are any of the interior lights, dash lights, or back-up lights. Still no door lock operation so rear hatch won't open from the back, but windows work. The trip computer, temperature, mileage etc don't work. There are probably other things that I haven't discovered yet.
I tried the things listed on your forum that might possible help but no change. Left IOD fuse out for several hours, disconnected battery for hours etc, no change. I'm guessing I fried something, but what? There seems to be no more fuses to check. If I had a wiring diagram I could likely find the common link to all the non working items, but am guessing they may be controlled by a computer module of some kind, that's where I need help!
Thanks for any advise you might give,
Scott
