Went through the process of identifying what is causing a slow battery death. Found that I had a 80 mAmp drain and from what I've read, anything over 50 is not good.

Removed all fuses, both under hood and under dash. The only drop in amps came when I removed the EATX minifuse under the hood.

The van runs and shifts just fine so I'd guess I have corrosion or the like going on to increase the amp draw.

Read some where that the EATX circuit should not be active if the key is not in the ignition - that would be an entirely new ball game and not related to the EATX, I would guess but then I'd be lost as to the parasitic drain.

Does anyone have an appropriate wiring diagram for a 1996 Town and Country 3.3L for the EATX circuit? Sure would appreciate any assistance.

If anyone has any suggestions other than wiring, I'd appreciate feedback also.

Send me an email address to send wiring diagrams to in a private message. How? Click RIP at left. I don't recommend posting your email address here.

Might try disconnecting the transmission control module mounted in the engine compartment on the passenger side near the power steering res. and inspect for corrosion or damage. Disconnect the negative battery cable first.

RIP, got them and thanks. It has been rather cold here for past few days so having done any work on the van. Will probably get into it today.

Will post what I find, maybe will help someone later.

Thanks again.

Sorry for the delay in giving what I think was the solution. In checking wires, fuses, etc., I noticed that my battery had a slight bulge on the end. Knowing that is not a good situation, I bought a new battery. Put the new battery in and without starting or moving the van, the battery is holding a steady voltage. I apparently was wrong in thinking the EATX circuit had something going on, even though the DVOM indicated there was a current flow - but, must be insignificant.

Thanks to all for the help.
