The parking pawl is a mechanical device right? My problem is when i go in reverse or sometimes roll in neutral and even slightly press on the brake the parking pawl engages. What is controlling this? I can reverse fine with my foot off the brake. Never have a problem when the car is in drive. I have searched and searched to see if there is a switch that controls the parking pawl like the transmission range sensor but so far i havent seen anything. Anyone have an idea? Its a 2007 dodge grand caravan.
