I am about to change the ECM on my '94 3.3 FWD GV.

Are there any tricks I should know about before I try it??

It is the computer mounted between the firewall and the battery and controls the regulation of the alternator voltage.

I have removed the main plug to Ohm-test the #20 wire, did not need to remove battery for that.

Neither the Haynes or the Chiltons has any info for this.

Any advice would be helpful.

thanks in Advance,

Dean.

Always disconnect the battery before disconnecting/connecting the PCM. The PCM receives power with the key off. This avoids voltage spikes and possible fatal damage to the PCM.
