My wife and I were visiting our son last week at the Presidio of Monterey. Spotted this beauty in a Monterey car lot on Sunday. It has a 2.6L and automatic, so not my cup of tea (I'd be all over a 2.2L 5-speed van). 62K on the clock, but could be 162, 262, etc. But I tell you what...this baby is very clean with no signs whatsoever of damage or paintwork. The price is high, but these are really getting rare in this shape...

I don’t think anyone else on here has ever complained about problems like this. Rocker pedestals were a design problem, but were fixed. My first went 300k before the trans died, and my second 240k before the timing chain broke due to a cam bearing problem.
I guess your problems must have been a lack of maintenance. ;-)
