Discussion Starter #1
94 Chrysler T&C / 155k. Was having starting issues, bad leads to neg post at bat. Disconnected Neg, cleaned posts / no dash display for three days. Then one day, they just came on like someone turned on a switch which left us puzzled. Symptoms of not starting persisted until I realized it was a bad starter also. Before that discovery same thing, loose NEG cable, removed it and THE DASH DISPLAY NEVER CAME BACK ON THIS TIME. That was about 6 months ago. Car runs fine and always is reliable but didn't know temp/speed etc.
Have been to Chrysler dealer and they said it would be a costly repair or replace. Went to Wrecking Yard and they said $100 if they could find one.
IN THIS FORUM FROM 2004 I found some information about a small transistor in the PCB. Any other thoughts? Thanks everyone.

This place rebuilds them (about $200) They have to be recalibrated after a repair, so even if you replace a transistor, you're still kinda screwed.

Or do an Internet search for Instrument Cluster repair
