Does anyone know where my car was REALLY built?

This may seem petty, but I was decoding the VIN number for our 1997 Town & Country LXi AWD and found that a couple of pieces didn't quite add up. For one thing, it says the van was built in the US, and at the Hamtramck plant. However, I happen to know that the Hamtramck plant was locally known as Dodge Main, and permanently closed in January, 1980, and demolished in 1981. Also, I was under the impression that all ChryCo minivans were manufactured in the Windsor, Ontario plant. Can anyone shed some light on this? As a side note, I double checked the VIN, and used 3 different decoders, all with the same result.

what is it that's telling you it was built at Hamtramck? I don't think the VIN does that?
Windsor didn't do exclusive minivan production. Demand required 2 plants going.

The VIN for this vehicle is 1C4GT64L2VB371377. I decoded it as follows.
1=Country of Origin (US)
C=Brand (Chrysler/Lancia)
4=Type of Car (MPV)
G=Safety System/Gross Vehicle Weight (Dual Airbags)
T=Car Line (AWD Minivans)
6=Series/Price Class (Special/Sport)
4=Body Type (Long Wheelbase)
L=Engine Type (3.8L V6)
2=Check Digit (Verified)
V=Model Year (1997)
B=Plant (Hamtramck)
371377 is this vehicle's own unique, non-sequential code.

If B means Hamtramck maybe they never updated what B means. B must mean Fenton.
