I have a 2014 Grand Caravan that we bought new in 2015. It has 118,000km on it. The emergency brake cable just snapped. It was just replaced two years ago. I've never had this happen in my 30 years of driving prior to this vehicle. Is this normal? The all brakes and rotors were replaced at Christmas.

It sounds like something is jammed up (rusted/corroded) along the cable or one of the rear brakes.
