Oil pressure warning light lit and dimmed intermittently, without any change in engine tone, as I drove twenty miles from home; Engine died suddenly, car lurched as if I'd hit a lump in the road; Attempting to restart, at first no reaction; After cleaning battery posts & terminals, attempts to restart produced only one click per key turn, same result with good jump cable connection; Towed home and tried for days, same results; Two months later it started as if nothing had ever been faulty.
Dodge Grand Caravan SE, 1997
Years ago it had been disabled by the cracked solder junction of the ground line at the post terminal array on the instrument cluster printed circuit board. I re-soldered it. Could this intermittent fault be something similar?
