Found them on ebay and they look to be a good medium ground between going OE and cheap ebay stuff.

Just wondering if anyone has actually used them and can vouch for them. I'm hesitant on using anything other than OE or Melling, but if i can save a bit then I might go for them.

You don't have to remove the actuators, just the PCV. Shift the valve cover to the side to clear the cam on the PCV, then the other side to clear the OCVs. A little shortcut for when you need to do the gaskets.

I skipped removing them when doing the left side, but I can't seem to get the right side cover off. I thought that maybe they might be engaged which could be why the cover won't pop up, but removing them changed nothing.

I also was unable to remove the bottom PCV screw since it was super rusted and stripped after one attempt. I had something similar happen at the scrapyard when removing the cams, but I was still able to remove the cover.

I have wrestled with the valve cover for a few hours now and for whatever reason it is stuck towards the firewall. It feels almost like a bolt on the backside is holding it in place, but I've recounted multiple times and have gotten all 12 valve cover bolts completely loose. I've been prying up against the "hook" on the block and valve cover and I'm afraid of breaking something by prying further. I can't imagine the factory RTV being this strong considering the front came loose pretty easily.

Any ideas on what I can try next?
It's probably hung on the PCV. You need to move it towards the brake booster and then lift that end.

If it's not that, it may be the alignment dowel. You can wiggle it out with some vice grips, but remember to clean the hole out and put it back in when you put it all back together.
