Relieving fuel system pressure according to the FSM, but never mind, I found it. From the picture I thought it was mounted to a side rail, but it's a cross member behind the tank. Came off one-two-three and after only one start pressure was gone.

Where is it (general vicinity)? I'd like to know.
Is it inside the car, under the carpet?

I love different ways to do things. Thanks to all.

I just let the car sit and wait 24 hours, then disconnect fuel line with a cup or and a rag. I bit messier. Breaking the brittle connector, when taking it apart would be a bummer-- is it one of those "push this tab then press that" connectors (I hate those things)?
