I just replaced the valve body/solenoid pack on my 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan (DC solenoid was bad). After completing the replacement, the gear shifter wouldn't move out of park. I was able to move it out of park by pressing the button just above the gear shifter to release it. However, the shifter was still hard to move, and when I put it in the "drive" position, the dash showed that the car was in neutral rather than drive (it showed movement from park to reverse to neutral and then back to park). I suspect that the shift cable and the shift position sensor are no longer in alignment, but I'm not sure how to properly diagnose and correct the problem. Any help would be much appreciated.
