My dealer is having computer problems programing a new ignition key for my 07 Grandcaravan. What's up with that?

Can't imagine, unless his key is defective. If your current key worked, the new one should be programmable. Did you have two keys that worked or only one?

What kind of computer problems? (this can have quite a range - can't find a tech with enough knowledge / DRBIII not working.. / SKREEM won't accept a new key)

is the key correct part# for this van? has the key ever been programmed / attempted to be programmed to this or other van before?

your van can only have 8 valid keys max, if 8 have been programmed (and some lost), all need to be erased and up to 8 programmed again... (dealer tech should know this..)

If you've not paid this dealer already (or can get your money refunded), try another dealer/locksmith...
