My engine has some issues, it keeps blowing oil out of the valve cover gaskets depite 4 repairs, my dad says it has too much blow by , so were looking for an used engine.
anyhow, we found 2 2.5 4 cylinders:
The first is in a 1990 Shadow with 050,000 miles , but we're not sure if it's a 2.2 or 2.5 how do we tell ? VIN number ?
The other one is in a 91 Lebaron with 085,000 miles , neither meter has flipped so my dad and I might take the gamble on $200 for either one. Will my 1993s work ? He's going to drop the pan and check everything out.
I would prefer the 50,000 mile one , but if its the smaller one I think I would pass because power is maginal anyway.

Thanks !!!

The oil pans are different to fit the balance shafts in the 2.5 the pan has a unique shape so make sure the engine you find has the same oil pan as your existing engine.
