Great, thanks for the tip. (y)

David's information about the plastic parts makes me want to go back to the 4th Generation. Shameful.

Sienile's experience:

Thermostat replacement:

Plastic + heat + time (fatigue/lose plasticizers, hence lose strength) = failure. There goes the fuel savings from using light duty, low weight plastics. Net result = waste of money and product/more pollution. Hope they use better plastic in airplanes.

The 5th Generation vans are nice but have to be rebuilt some in the engine bay for durability. Dorman to the rescue. Pathetic or what? What were they thinking? Dorman, made in China, is not known for high quality either, but at least it's metal.

Extended warranties? For peace of mind at least.
