so i replaced the fuel pump and im still not getting fuel to the fuel rail at all im getting ready to go back out there and see if switching relays does anything. i also put in a new fuel filter there isnt a whole lot of gas in her but i would have thought that with a fair amount of fuel id get something. where do i go from here.

You should hear the fuel pump when you turn the key. It's supposed to run for a few seconds to pressurize the rail and shut-off. If the engine doesn't start, it won't continue running. Once the engine starts, the power is re-activated to the pump. This is a safety feature, incase of fire. You can bypass the relay. The connections are printed on the relay, so you can easily figure how to jumper it.

Are you sure you securely re-connected the wiring to the pump (correctly) ??????? If you hear it and you still cannot get pressure, you may have the wiring to the pump, backwards, causing it to run in reverse, not pumping fuel out.

How are you determining whether or not you have pressure ?

Are you using a fuel pressure gauge? If not you should invest in one, they are not that expensive and will save you alot of time and headaches.

If your fuel pump is'nt priming (you should hear it hum for a second or 2 when you turn key on), start with the fuse and relay, if they check out good then check your wiring and connections.

yes i do have a fuel pressure guage everything was hooked up right. im guessing there really wasent enough fuel so far she seems to be running pretty good in 2 days im going to put the back 3 plugs on. i bought bosch platinum 2s so hopefully they will work good in her the champions that were in there wenrt great. i also noticed they had alot of rust on them would a little of antiseize be ok for puttuing on the threads so they dont happen to seize up on the block ive done this before on other cars and it was fine. let me say thru all of this that the fuel tank is a pita especially the vent plugs i got them on as best as i could and iv checked underneath and i see no leaks

well now i have another issue i either have a leaking injecter or something else i cwent back to check and had no pressure to the rail but all kinds of gas on the motor so i pull the fuel rail and pull an injector out to replace the o rings and after the shot the van off one of the injectors was still dripping is this a sign of a bad injector? now im wandering if maybe these bosch plugs may be the issue if it at all thanks to everyone who has replied im down to 1 vehicle and shes getting the best of me

You may need to replace the rubber washers on the injectors. One for the rail, the other for the manifold end. If it's leaking somewhere in between, then you need to replace the injector, itself. Looks like you now have plenty of "pressure" at your rail, though. Course, a leak is going to reduce what your gauge sees.
