I am very interested in hearing about the "downgrade" I have a 2013 Limited and I love the damn thing and I am always wondering if I will like the Pacifica as the next van but I don't like that they do not have a gear shifter that can allow me to hold gears and rear vented windows, I use those things all the time and talk about venting the cabin without waking up a toddler, this to me is a no-no, next van has to have it.

I like that the 5th gen has very cheap parts and is somewhat easy to repair in very many ways. I know the Pacifica is amazing but .... what was your opinion.

My wife and I both hated the Pacifica from the first day, really all the so-called advanced technology just pissed us off. But we're old (in our 60's).

I'd suggest you rent one for a day or two and see if you like it.

I found a 15K mile T&C limited at a Chevy dealer, and we're happy again. We do like the rear vent windows, but really just like the whole car better.

PS I finally sold these tires on CL for $100 for all four- quite a deal for someone.

60s isn't old nowadays, at least it isn't to me. My mom is 80 and my dad passed away at 81 years old. I'm just above 50 and still consider myself middle-aged at most, still young at heart.

Glad to hear, I will have to rent one and see if we like it. We live on a dirt road so our T&C is always covered in mud so I am not super keen on driving a new vehicle these days. Not to mention the T&C parts are so inexpensive and easy to fix so its a work horse for me which is actually super nice on the inside. My favorite thing about it is the driving position and how well it hauls y stuff. I just got a new snow blower and threw it in the back, before that I moved 7pc couch in one drive. Needless to say I will be driving mine into the ground, I dont see myself ever selling it. I recently got hit by a deer, left a tiny dent on my driver sliding door, and broke the mirror, I was up and running with a new mirror for 40$ off ebay as if nothing happend. Cant do that with a Pacifica, I bet that mirror assembly is 4-500$. My van was only 8500$ and I think that was a great deal for a rust free southern car with all options.

A year and a half ago we rented a Chrysler Voyager for a 10 day vacation to the N.C. Appalachian mountain area. It was a nice vehicle, drove well, and was comfortable. We did not like it as well as the DGC GT that we rented two years earlier. I tried to like the auto start/stop, but never could get use to it and I saw no increase in MPG by using it as compared to the van two years previous. I did not like the key fob not being used as a key either. I don’t like key fobs anyway they are just too bulky.
