P06DD - What to do next?

Hi, I just wanted to share my recent experience with this code on my Charger.

TLDR; check that the new O ring is seated correctly at the very top of the filler tube cap.Fram oil filters come with a MUCH thicker O ring and mine wasn't seated correctly at the top of the cap. Put a thinner one ( the old one ) on it and no more error.

I changed the oil and 2 days later this code popped up. I Changed the filter as suggested, I changed the oil just in case. I looked into replacing the whole assembly as was repeatedly suggested and even started preparing to replace the oil pump as was secondarily suggested many times. It ended up being a $.05 O ring not seating correctly and, I suspect, causing the filter to sit ****-eyed in the filler tube. Hope this saves someone a couple hundred dollars
This must be the oil filter with the nipple on the top (ie 2014 and later), not the ones with the flat top.

Would it not seat if you pushed harder? I make sure that my filter is firmly seated into the cap before inserting into the housing. Lot's of peeps using Fram oil filters out there. But not an epidemic of Fram related p06DD.
