Power Steering (What fluid?)

ATF+4 fluid. It was changed to that since the 3rd generation vans started having some issues with shudder, so there was a TSB issued to change it to ATF+4 back then. In the 4th gen, they just opted to use it right off the bat to head off any issues. It has excellent anti-shear properties which was why they switched to it.

When I first got our 3rd gen van back in 2009 and had to replace the power steering pump, I immediately cleaned out the remote reservoir and switched it over to ATF+4. Never had any issues in the 50,000 miles we've driven it since, and I refilled it with that when I replaced the steering rack and lines with junkyard replacements (due to heavy corrosion/rusted through line). Even the replacement steering rack I got had ATF+4 in it!
