Keep in mind Miron, that when solving a problem, determining the "root cause" is important. You might be replacing fasteners forever. :)
I cannot kill all the squirrels in the parking at my job location... they are too many... so, as long as I work and park there it will keep happening... 2 years ago I extracted over 70 cones from behind the engine... and replaced the issulation. Luckily they did not like the taste of my wirrings so they ate the wirrings of a brand new Lexus SUV that belongs to a resident who ended paying a few thousands dollars to Lexus dealership for replacement... warranty does not cover!

I was pricing some parts today for repairs to a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe 4WD. One of those parts was a sending unit for the gas tank. A too common problem with these vehicles is that the gas gauge stops working due to a sending unit failure. She was quoted a price of $770.00. I got a price of $896.98, discounted to $621.98 and another price of $556.00. It pays to shop around.

The Owner doesn't have a lot of $ but, if one owns one of these, they need to beware. The gas tank saddles the drive shaft, with a big U in it, so there are two components, one on each side, accessible through the floor, to measure/control the fuel level.

I hope they are giving you "danger pay". :)

I see the squirrels here like green tomatoes. They are eating mine. Maybe a bucket of green tomatoes will keep them away from your vehicle. :)

Just the red squirrels here, none of those larger grey ones. Rodents seem to like wiring with soya in the insulation. General Motors had a big problem with that years back. Some seat insulation has soya in it as well, so watch out, you may be sitting on pine cones. :)

The fasteners for your hood insulation are likely just pin tree type fasteners.

You can get ones that are more reusable, similar to what's on your tail light housing, but have a screw in them. They are readily available.

I believe Valvolines 5W-20 and 5W-30 Conventional oils are actually synthetic blends per: https://sharena21.springcm.com/Public/Document/18452/a2457451-fe75-e711-9c10-ac162d889bd3/bab4d631-93bb-e711-9c12-ac162d889bd1

COSTCO's Michelin Stealth wipers should be on sale for Black Friday per last year.

Just got the Walmart Flyer yesterday.

Valvoline motor oil, 5L for $12.88. If you read the specs on the 5W-30 I think you will find it's a synthetic blend. Same for 5W-20. Marcus71 reported this sale in a previous Post.

Their Weatermaxx Arctic winter tire is a good deal, one price per each diameter. $88.17 for 17"; $80.07 for 16"; $67.47 for 15"; and $51.27 for 14". Some sizes like 225/65R17 have a different tread pattern, an extra nylon belt and are called a SUV tire: https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/weathermaxx-22565r17-102-q-arctic-suv-tire/6000193609303 I bought those a couple weeks back for my 2016 GC.

A seat warmer for $19.95 and other stuff referred to as early Black Friday deals.

Those tires from Walmart could be 2 years old already. Best to check. Likely the same with most winter tires on sale now (old stock).

Anybody renewing Sirius Select this month. The yearly renewal is stated as $267.76 Total, Canadian. They will bring that down to $180.00 Total real easy. Hang in there and you should be able to get it for $120.00 Total, maybe even less.

I'm a little late, but Walmart is selling 5 Litre jugs of Valvoline conventional oil for $11.88 for those who need to reload their stashes.

5L jugs of Castrol Edge Synthetic Oil for $27.97

Sale ends January 2nd.

https://flyers.smartcanucks.ca/canada/walmart-canada-boxing-day-week-flyer-december-26-2018-january-2-2019/single/8

I also learned that not all Walmarts price their products the same. One Walmart was selling washer fluid on special for $1.75, while another Walmart 15 minutes away was sellng it for their regular price of around $2.99. Goes to show it pays to shop around. I've started to notice this trend on some of their products especially with their groceries.

I did hear the same thing and I could not believe it... and the 2 Walmarts are less than 2 Km apart... on the same street on my way home from work...

If anyone is looking for Husky Liner floor mats Home Depot (USA) has them 20% off through 09/01/2019.

I had trouble finding the liners I was looking for using the Home Depot site so I looked up the part number on the Husky site then did a Google Search for "home depot husky liner 52891" (without the quotes), where 52891 is the part number of the liner.

FabricGATOR has located a deal on HOAT coolant per his following Thread:

Mopar HOAT $13 / $20: https://www.chryslerminivan.net/threads/mopar-hoat-13-20.171011/
I found a current deal on Mopar brand coolant through Google Shopping.
$19.95 a gallon for the 5 year / 100,000 mile CONCENTRATE including delivered via FedEx.
$12.99 Mopar 50/50 Prediluted Antifreeze/coolant, 5-Year/100,000 Mile, 1 Gallon Bottle, 68051212AB

These are sold/distributed by Morris 4X4 center BUT
*Important, you need to finger around on google shopping and make the purchase through google shopping / google pay. I have found that if I try through the Morris website, you will have to pay shipping unless you purchase $75 minimum If you purchase through Google, the shipping is included (at least it has been for me).

DIRECTIONS:
Open your browser and go to www.google.com. SEARCH: "Mopar Coolant" CLICK: the shopping tabfrom underneath the search bar. NOTE: there is a long list of available purchase opportunities. Look for "View all Buy with Google " <~ (currently this LINK is working to bring you right there, at least in my browser as I type this post)(a blue link under the first entry) you will see a CIRCLE with a tag Glogo and that depicts Google Shop purchases. Buy that one...

I have purchase 6 gallons of concentrate as I also use this in my Yamaha Motorcycle and my Toyota FJ Cruiser. So for me, one fluid for all vehicles.
On top of what I believe is a good deal, I got a 20% coupon from Google after my first google shopping purchase.
*I buy concentrate because I am not going to pay $13/gallon for distilled water in 50/50, I can mix my own.

Not sure if this is an oversight or a loophole. Perhaps it is just a happy deal for me to get the free shipping because I am several towns away. Perhaps Goole Shopping is going to put Walmart AND Amazon out of business, but grab em while you can.
Cheers!
Thanks to FabricGATOR for his find and letting us know.

NOTE: HOAT is not limited to 4th Generation Minivans. It's used in 5th Generation minivans until the change in 2014. It's likely quite safe for previous generations as well, having a longer life with an upgraded additive package with increased corrosion protection.

For those who also own a Ford or Mercedes vehicle, HOAT is specified there too.

Valvoline says, per their PI Document, that their G-05 HOAT is compatible with many brands of coolant, commonly available. PI Document: https://sharena21.springcm.com/Public/Document/18452/f93a8057-fe75-e711-9c10-ac162d889bd3/c264d227-0dbd-e711-9c12-ac162d889bd1
How many HOAT coolants are you aware of? :)

Much ado over nothing? Maybe one should go with Prestone or PEAK and be done with the antifreeze blarney.
