In our 2016 Town & Country our 430 RBZ (Model 68282485AA & Serial T00 AM 247 5 T1362) started intermittently shutting off every two or three minutes. Our local salvage yard said they had a 430 RHB with NAV (Model P05091336AC and Serial T 00 AM 196 2 T0671) and with minimal interaction with the dealer to get a four digit code this unit should otherwise be a "plug and play." When I pulled out the original unit (3 wired connectors and two cable/ant connectors) and put in the RHB unit and started up the van there was no indication of powering up. No lights, no logo - nothing. Does the car software preclude even the powering up this type of unit or do I have dead unit from salvage? And what do I need from the dealer? Is it just the four digit code? Or is it a code upgrade that an OBDC code writer is required? Is it both?

Thanks,

If it didn't power up, it's not going to work. No need to get the code from the dealer.

If it powered up, you would see a screen asking for the code.
