HA HA my fixes are never quick! I did use some wrap tape from AutoZone to slow the leak on my rear heater pipe so I could make it the 30 miles to home, took me an hour to get it done though in the dark parking lot. Fixed it by cutting off the leaking part and replacing with heater hose, used 2 clamps on each end and zip tied it away from the exhaust. I also use zip ties to hold my front bumper on my 99 DGC after the removal of the rusted bolts I had to cut off. Much easier to get the bumper on and off which happens a lot due to leaky radiator. She ain't pretty but she was free and I am always fixing something on her, She sat in the driveway for a year while I patched the radiator up, charged the battery aired up the tires and she fired right up. She is my work horse I hauled wood and gravel in her all summer and am driver her now while doing repairs on my 2001 T&C and 94 Exploder.

Sometimes you search the Forum and you do not find. The Site has monkey wrenched you. Too bad, so sad, but here's some help, a fix or two.

1. Dead links to old posts... and how to fix them.

Dead links happen way too often.

2. A fix of a different kind - Clarification: Bad Thread Titles should really be fixed for clarification and to encourage feedback..
Same for Posts that have no caps, periods, sentences or paragraphs. Total laziness and looking for someone else to do the figuring out.

Never ending corrosion on battery cable clamps. Every spring there it is, the acid build up on the battery clamps.
The fix. paint them with never seize the silver type in the can with a brush. For two years running I have not had acid or corrosion on the claps around the posts.
You have to take the clamp off to do this as the underside must be done as well. If you get a little inside the clamp, I did this to see if it effected the connection and it made no difference.
PS.
Jeepman you sure are putting up a lot of usefull posts. Good work there. :Wow1:
dun4now.
also put a penny on the battery between the posts it acts like a sacrificial anode
remember red green . if the women don't find you handsome they can at least find you handy.
Steering Wheel Controls Acting Up? Not Unusual? Intermittent?
Every once in a while, the buttons on the left side of my 2016 DGC Crew Plus's steering wheel don't respond to touch (EVIC, Telephone, Voice Command). Give the horn a quick honk and wait for 2 or 3 seconds. Has worked for me several times.

Give the horn a quick honk
But only in a "friendly" way, don't want to be misunderstood ;)

But I still use the honk to prevent 'smart' drivers to hit me...

Of course, Mr. Murphy is still working... I will let you know...

Careful to honk in a friendly way. There was a saying years back on bumper stickers of, Honk if your feeling horny. It had two upside-down pineapples on the sticker too, one on each side.

All I can find on the web now is this

And don't honk at anyone with a Dead Head sticker either. That in turn will create road rage. Not sure what's up with those people. Even if they sit at a green light, I still don't honk seeing one of those.
In my opinion, to honk is directly related with the culture and education of the community you are living in.
At my first visits to the USA, UK and other european countries individually; I was shocked at the traffic when I saw the people driving silently and calmly especially in the USA.
At this point, I also have to speak of the roads, traffic signs, traffic lights, lanes, sidewalks, etc. Human is human everywhere in the world but, if you can train him/her starting from the family basic and maintain during the school life and control people for obeying the rules, the first thing you will achieve would be "RESPECT". That is the most important learning outcome not only for traffic but also for every other field that exists in our lives.
The governing authority must admit that the government is for the people but the people are not for the government. Taxes paid must return to the taxpayers so that the people can thrust the authorities in the country.
Speaking of "honking the horn", there are a lot of words to be written here starting from "horn" but, I'd better stop here not to bother folks living in a country like me...;););)
