I am replacing the power steering rack in my 2002 town and country. I have the old rack out and the new rack in, including lines. I am stuck trying to get the universal joint to connect to the steering gear. I removed the roll pin with a punch during the removal of the old rack. I gained access through the floor board boot. When I removed the roll pin the gear easily separated while I was moving the old rack around during removal (I applied no force to separate the joint). Now with the new rack in I can align the teeth on the gear and joint, but I cannot find a good way to apply the necessary force to move the joint onto the steering gear. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem as you. I could align it on there but it would go on. I tried tapping it on but I was afraid I was going to screw up the teeth. I had my buddy try it and it went right on for him. It has to be aligned perfectly to go on.
