After visiting this site last week for the first time & confirming with my mechanic that the issue with no a/c was the rear evap, I called a local Chrysler dealer yesterday. Much to my surprise, I was told that even though my 2006 T & C had 50,000 miles, the replacement was going to be covered under warranty. In further conversation with the advisor, I was told that the part warranty has been extended to 70,000 miles due to premature failure on quite a few vehicles. The work was done yesterday to my satisfaction.
I felt I had to share this important information.

The only component that was mentioned as having the warranty extended to 70,000 was the rear evaporator. Check with your local Chrysler service advisor. My vehicle is close to the 5 yrs in service. We first leased it, & then bought when Chrysler quit leasing.
