Regular Cruise shuts off in the rain

I can understand the ACC turning off in the rain but the regular cruise shuts off in anything more than a sprinkle. Very annoying when you are driving several hours through rain. I've never had another vehicle do this. Is this normal or do I need to schedule another trip to the dealer?
