So I haven't officially done the mod yet on the lamp, but I played with the idea I am going for to tint the taillamp in paint 3d for windows 10....

How do you separate the cover from the light? When Mine was smashed, I couldnt get the cover to release from the light assembly.

I am not sure on this model, on other models people heat them in the oven at a lower temperature ( example: 120F), but I had planned on covering the parts I don't want to change with tape or vaseline, then spray tint the rest.
