What year and miles?

The 3.6L seems way more failure prone than the 3.3L, 3.8L and 4.0L engines it replaced.
The 62TE seems more failure prone than the 41TE it replaced.

There's many millions of those vehicles and transmissions out there.

Lighter oils and lighter engine/drivetrain parts don't make for durability, the way I see it. It's as if durability and extended life don't get any environmental credits. Anybody heard of such credits? Environmentally friendly today, throw it away tomorrow.

Replacements consume energy in their production. Longevity and stability of design should be a consideration. Well, of course, EVs are all the rage today. What's the life of an EV, or does anybody care? Lots of materials and labor go into their replacements. That doesn't grow on trees. :)

Think the old Chrysler 318 ci V8, the slant 6 and even the 4.0 L inline 6 that's in my Jeep. No plastic parts on those engines. :)

Motor oils today have better additive packages. That's a plus.
