Any deals in Canada for a set of summers? I have a full set of new winters on wheels so a set of performance summers would be nice. Any particualr brands you love or hate? I wont run Generals or Dunplops or Firestone.

Lots of experience with the Mich Defenders on a variety of vehicles. I drive in a spirited manner and in all conditions, snow and extremely heavy rain and the Michelins cut better at freeway speed than anything else I've used, even when heavily worn. My van is an '05 and the front tires wear quite a bit faster on the outer edges, even with the pressures at 44psi. The rears actually last about 4 sets of fronts. I think this outer tire wear issue is an '05 Dodge thing because they wear more evenly on every other vehicle I've installed them on.
My 05 had a Sumitomo that immediately started wearing on the outside edge. It was on the back of the van. I went back to Kal tire and they blamed the wheel alignment. The van never wore tires period before this. I wzited for another year and the outside edge got worse so i had a wheel alignment dont and took the paperwork to kal and they still refused to warranty the tire. I threatened to sue them in small claims court and we got the money back the same day.

I will mention the Sumitomo was emergency replacement for a tire that got a huge (brand new) wheel weight through the sidewall driving past a Canadian tire. My wife drove that tire glat another 3km to her work and ruined the tire. She returned the tire the Les Schwabb location across the border. They honored the tire no questions asked and refunded her 100%. So WTF is with Kal tire? Even with documentation and my word the van never wore tires erratically they still refused to acknowledge it could be a defective tire.

Also will note that the rear alignment was perfect and required no adjustment. Yet talking to the advisor at Kal he said going over a big bump could xause the rear alignment to go out. He said sometimes rear alignments go out all the time. Ya right. Our van had around 220k kms and never had a rear alignment. Had the toe adjustment on the front because i replaced the inner and outter tie rods.
