Is the 430N radio worth it these days?

I'm in the market for getting another T&C, ideally a 2012 or newer, and my wife was interested in getting one with a radio with built-in navigation. We recently used such a feature on a 2022 Chrysler Voyager I had for a rental and it was slick. But I think the new vans use phone app mirroring...

Got the maps from an eBay vendor. Bottom line is they load & work fine, but there are too many annoyances for me.

Just ordered that update from ebay. What are the annoyances you speak of?

more then a couple jeep guys bricked their radio with that update hack

My 2019 need to be updated and I was wondering if I could update it with the map update I get for my Garmin unit?

The unit no longer gives preparatory alerts (e.g., "In one-quarter mile, turn right on Main Street"). I have to pay close attention to the screen so I don't miss turns in unfamiliar areas. There's no longer any forewarning. In addition, most of the time it no longer announces your arrival. Not that big of a deal, but the unit always announced "Arriving 123 Main Street" in the past.

It also freaks out every once in a while in construction zones, often repeating "recalculating" 10-12 times before silencing. It's understandable for the system to recalculate, but I only need to hear it once.

All in all it works, but I really don't see any improvement over the 2019 iteration (which I'm going to re-install one of these days).
