It will only update through the usb port on the front of the radio. When doing nav updates, you have to sit and wait for long enough that it seems like it's not doing anything, so other software updates might also take a while.

How long have you just waited? Plug it in, ignore "no files" and just wait.

Those are different directions than '14. Those came from Chrysler? I never have to use any oral commands. And only use the usb port on the radio.

Did you try following the video on that drive connect page? It's generic, but it sounds like what worked for me the couple of times I've done it.

So going a little deeper, I also get the same directions you got that involve talking to it. I found the tech bulletin that mentions plugging a USB cable into the hands free module.

I don't know if it has to be their USB cable or if a USB-A to mini-B cable will work.
