Thanks for posting this. Just out of curiosity, there was a feature on my old 05 Dodge Caravan, that when you opened the sliding doors the 4 ways would automatically come on. After awhile for one reason or another it stopped doing this after awhile. I thought I read somewhere, in the manual on online, that this was a feature in the 5th generation. Honestly, I really don't want to enable it, but does anyone know if this is the case?
I tried two of these on my 2015 DGC SXT and they did not work. I also can't find these in my owners manual.

The instruction are in the Users Guide for the 2015, see pages 74 & 75 of the fifth edition here: 2015-Grand_Caravan-UG-5th or go to the Dodge site here: https://www.mopar.com/dodge/en-us/care/owners-manual.html

When I siad "from 2008-2017 Owners Manuals and User Guides" I should have said "from 2008-2017 Owners Manuals and/or User Guides" (I have fixed that now.)

Thanks for posting this. These worked on my 2013 GC. I was able to turn off unlock all doors on exit, turn off auto door locks after 24kph, and turn off sound horn on lock.
What I would like to turn off now is the approach lights. Headlights come on for about 20 seconds when unlock is pressed on the FOB. Anyone know if it's possible to turn it off? Maybe pay a dealer?
Ignore my question. I used the search. duh. Only done by a dealer unless you have EVIC
This one also worked on my '13 GC!

Enhanced Driver Seat Belt Use Reminder System (BeltAlert)

If the driver's seat belt has not been buckled within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle and if the vehicle speed is greater than 5 mph (8 km/h), the Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) will alert the driver to buckle their seat belt. The driver should also instruct all other occupants to buckle their seat belts. Once the warning is triggered, the Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) will continue to chime and flash the Seat Belt Warning Light for 96 seconds or until the driver's seat belt is buckled.

The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) will be reactivated if the driver's seat belt is unbuckled for more than 10 seconds and the vehicle speed is greater than 5 mph (8 km/h).

The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be enabled or disabled by your authorized dealer or by following these steps:

NOTE: The following steps must occur within the first 60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON or RUN position. Daimler Chrysler does not recommend deactivating the Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert).

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, and buckle the driver's seat belt.

2. Turn the ignition key to the RUN position (engine does not need to be running), and wait for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.

3. Within 60 seconds, unbuckle and then re-buckle the driver's seat belt at least three times, ending with the seat belt buckled.

4. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming.

The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be reactivated by repeating this procedure.

NOTE: Although the Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) has been deactivated, the Seat Belt Warning Light will continue to illuminate while the driver's seat belt remains unfastened.

This also worked for me! Flashers stay on until Sliding Door is closed.

The Sliding Door Open Flash can be enabled or disabled by performing the following procedure:

1. Place the key in the ignition switch.

2. Cycle the ignition switch ON/OFF four times ending in the OFF position, (do not start the engine)

3. Within 10 seconds of the final cycle, press the hazard switch.

4. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming.

You can turn the feature back on by repeating the above mentioned procedure or by performing the procedure in the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC), Customer Programmable Features section on vehicles so equipped.

My 2011 T&C does not have a PANIC button on the key... does that mean I cannot program it to sound the horn on lock?
Hi

it's possible to have the side mirrors folded automatically

Thank you
Tried the signal flash with lock/unlock on my 2010 GC SE. Worked :)

Also turned the horn on lock off, but turned it back on, that how I know the van and Jetta are locked from in the garage is by the sound.
Automatic DRL

Is possible program automatic drl head lights? And automatic turning side mirrors? I have in use DiagFCA programming/obd tool.
Hello,
I've searched this and other forums and followed the instructions, which are also identical in my owner's manual, yet, no matter what feature I try to change, they do not change... Disabling horn honk on locking I've tried about 20 times in various ways, most of them was exactly as it should be done.
Stand outside, press lock for 4-10sec and while holding lock, press panic, then release both.
This is not rocket science. I know I'm not doing it wrong, yet I can't change a single feature.. I don't have EVIC buttons on steering wheel, so I can only use the fob. And I tried both fobs, too.

This is a 2012 Grand Caravan SE (with additional options) which I've had since new. I personally picked it up from the dealer and drove it all these years. However, initially it started off as a fleet vehicle. The company I work for leased it for me using program they have with Wheels, inc. After 4 years of light use, I bought the car out, so it's mine now.

I've just installed Omaga alarm w/rem.start using their T-harness, and now is the first time I actually looked for a way to disable the horn honk (since alarm does siren chirps). Again, the instructions are easy, but nothing seems to work.
Omega claims there's absolutely nothing in their alarm that would in any way influence user programming I'm trying to change.
I called the dealership I picked up the car in 2012 and they said they don't lock any features in fleet vehicles, and offered to look at it when I stop by. Only issue is they're about ab hour away from me, and time is scarce these days, especially for something trivial like this.

Does anyone know if Dodge adds any codes in factory programming for fleet vehicles that would disallow changing features, or any other reason why my features would be blocked from changing?

Kindly appreciate your feedback.
Thanks

Hi! Is there a way to disable the headlights on, when unlocking doors with the key fob. This is a problem at night when camping.
Sorry, forfgot to specify I have a Dodge Caravan SXT 2015
Sorry, forfgot to specify I have a Dodge Caravan SXT 2015
I have a 2019 Dodge SXT but found this out on mine.--You Must Use The Metal Key--. Doing this way WILL NOT ACTIVATE the alarm while parked so the van will not be secure with the alarm active but only with locked doors.
Park the van with all doors locked, remove key fob, when you exit, push down the chrome door lock tube near the window, close the door. Make sure the door is locked. OR, when you exit, close door and use key from outside to lock the door. Simply use the key to unlock the door and use the fob to be able to drive away. No more flashing lights to enter or exit the van.Try it out ! BW

I enabled the 4-way flashers when sliders open on my 2012 Town & Country. It's in the online manual.
(There is an easier way with the dash programming, somewhere.)
Page 52:
Power Sliding Side Door Open Flash
The left and right exterior hazard lights will flash for 12 seconds when either sliding door is opened. This will alert other drivers in the area that passenger(s) could be entering or exiting the vehicle.
The Sliding Side Door Open Flash can be enabled or disabled by performing the following procedure:
1. Place the Key Fob in the ignition switch.
2. Cycle the ignition switch from ON/RUN to OFF five times ending in the ON/RUN position (do not start the engine).

4. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming.
You can turn the feature back on by repeating the previous procedure.
