There is water leaking into the rear interior at the top of the lift gate. It's a slow and steady leak and the floor mats in trunk area are damp after rains. There are also water stains on the inside rear roof. I stared at those stains for over a year and wondered whey might have come from (I bought the car used), but this morning I noticed water droplets on the rear seats. I'd be grateful to any insight the community might have. Thanks.

Check the wiring grommet on the top of the rear hatch. It might be unseated or jacked up with rust.

The trunk lid seal is also a possibility.

If both of those check out it may be coming in from the spoiler mounts. You'll have to take the upper trim off to get to the other 2 bolts and 3 snap clips (the center one is hidden). A bit of 3M double-sided foam tape will work as a replacement for leaky mount seals.
