What's the mileage on your 4th generation?

Wow can't believe the van is at 180,000 Kms now.Only 20,000 kms to go until the big 200,000 kms. Seems just like yesterday I bought the van. Is their any thing that I should be on a look out for at this point?

Also whats the current mileage on your 4th gen?

Go through and tighten you body mount bolts AKA CRADLE ISOLATORS, I noticed mine was completely missing , unfortunately I didn't notice until my sway bar was grinding into the inside of my rotor and rubbing on my axle. It appears a bump knock the bolt loose, and a second pump most likely allowed it to eject from its resting place. 05 Town and country 151k miles.

Good find. 2001 and 2002 are good years, better equipped.

My '05 DGC C/V has 177k.
Mechanically everything is in pretty good shape. Rust is starting to take hold, though. I haven't decided whether I want to fix it or move on to something else. I know how to fix it myself, I just don't know if I want to. The fuel mileage is the only thing I don't like about the van.

All the other vans are not much better... what do you expect from a classic (non-hybrid) 3 tons van? It's a shame we never got the Diesel version they have in Europe...

Oh, it's not bad for what it is, usually between 18-20mpg. I just don't really need a van. If I do decide to part with it, I'll probably get a little hatchback or station wagon. I already have a pickup for hauling big stuff.

I'm not on this forum often anymore, aside from being parked for 6 months, the old girl still going strong at 360,000 kms. Unfortunately the body is going on it, quite fast.

No kidding on that. The rust underneath is unbelieveable on my 04 as well, and I also have a fair amount of body rust to take care of (passenger door rusted through, rear dog legs and around wheel wells, rocker panel at rear dog leg rusted through (replaced in 2014).
I wonder if the use of brine is making things worse than when we just had rock salt. There is a lot (and really a lot) more rust under my 04 than my 98 (not driven since 2014).

Around here, especially on this God forsaken mountain, the state is generous with everything imaginable- rock salt, brine, and calcium chloride. I see pickups that look like they are 5 years old starting to rot out already.

If I hang onto my van, I am going to have to do some rust repairs. The underneath is still excellent, but the rockers, rear doglegs, and the bottoms of the doors are just starting to get bad.
Mine is getting rusty already too, at doglegs and rockers. I have some solid front fenders to put on, and most of the doors and liftgate are still pretty good so I can save that stuff with rustproofing.

My van turned to 200,000 miles last month, on the original engine and transmission. I still plan to swap out the engine because of the slight miss (low oil, partly spun cam bearing) and swap some drivetrain parts and electrical harness/parts because of earlier year stuff being swapped in. Gas mileage? Mine averages 17 when it's good, because of awd. It's still way too much fun in the winter to give it up though. 😁
Just bought mine a week ago. 143K (miles).
Looks really decent, but needs the AC repaired and the damn turn signal (work in progress).

I got it specifically to travel and live in for a few months.
