2016 Dodge GC Crew Plus: 60,000 km (37,300 miles) and 1015 engine hours. Bought it in late September 2017, with 25,000 km on it - a buy back.

Seems like there is a trend of showing engine hours vs mileage, here it is:

31.3 miles per engine hour. Mmmmmmm

At 36.7 miles per engine hour, my van is faster than yours.

You make a point, idling and pulling, increase engine hours per mile on average.

2015 T&C 82000 miles......no issues...so far. just changed spark plugs....runs great.....except all that clunking in the back....??? I had a GC loaner did the same thing....whats up with that clunking back there?
Check how your second row seat belt latch is situated on the seat belt. If wrong, it will bump against the side. I noticed that first on my 2016 GC and twisted it around. No more of that bumping noise. May as well check your other seat belts too.

Batteries may last longer than one might think.
40 years maybe. Didn't someone on here say they had a battery that lasted 40 years? :)

Sounds like you are due for new bearings, at about the right mileage, in fact you are over due at that mileage. If they seize up you will have more than noisy bearings to contend with.
First make sure it's a bearing noise and not a tire noise.

Having worked for Chrysler from 1994-2009, I too, liked the products I helped make-
My first Chrysler product was a 20 year old 1947 Windsor Club Coupe. I did a ring & valve service overhaul on the flathead engine under an oak tree- An 80 year old mechanic came out to the house and ground the valve seats. for me. One new piston, new rings, rod bearings, oil pump, as I recall. I hit the starter button, drove it around the country roads, then took a 700 mile trip later that week. That car was a smooth driver. Not fast, but reliable! I even got the AM tube radio working- I could pick up a station in Texas and in NJ from Illinois in the evening!

It had red highlander plaid interior-

Did it have fluid drive transmission?

I remember driving an old Chrysler with the Fluid Drive transmission. A neighbor traded in an Austin A-40 for a late 40s Chrysler which had been side swiped. I believe it was a woody but not a station wagon. His wife wasn't very happy when he brought the vehicle home. Blamed me for helping him buy it. I had nothing to do with it. :)

The Windsor name was around for a while.
The Chrysler Windsor is a full-size car which was built by Chrysler from 1939 through to the 1960s. The final Chrysler Windsor sold in the United States was produced in 1961, but production in Canada continued until 1966. The Canadian 1961 to 1966 Windsor model was for all intents and purposes the equivalent of the Chrysler Newport in the United States.

The Windsor was positioned above the entry-level Royal from 1939 to 1950. With the demise of the Royal for the 1951 model year the Windsor became Chrysler's price leader through to 1960. For the 1961 model year the Chrysler Newport was made the marque's price leader with the Windsor positioned one level above the Newport. Chrysler replaced the Windsor name in 1962 with the introduction of the non-lettered series Chrysler 300.[1]

I bought my 2014 T&C Limited with 34.5K miles on the odometer in 12/2015. It had just come off a short lease, and was a "Certified" Used Vehicle at a major dealer. It had all the bells & whistles I wanted: power moonroof, tow package, etc., plus a few that I've discovered I like. I'm now looking at 145K, and hope to run it out to at least 200K, and more if I can. I changed the spark plugs at 100K and the transmission service at 100K as well (easy to remember to do 'em at the same time). Other than that, it's no worries, mate. Change the oil every 5K, and new tires about every 65-70K. I'm getting brake pulsations beginning about 12-14-16 months after each time I've replaced rotors & pads all the way around. I don't do all that much towing, only a small utility trailer lightly loaded. Not sure what to do about that.
Likely rust buildup, or surface delamination, on the back side of a rotor.

Do you drive your vehicle every day? infrequently?

What quality of rotor and pad are you using? white box?

Battery should be fine.

Brakes .... hard to say ...... may have been sitting in a flooded parking lot. Won't hurt to take them apart and relubricate as well as check for corrosion. On my 2016 I had a bottom pin seize up (left front) and patches of wear face delamination on that same rotor last year. I installed a new caliper bracket, Raybestos pads and Raybestos coated rotors (85,000 km)
Torque Specs:
Front caliper bracket: 125 ft.lb. Front pins: 26 ft.lb.
Rear caliper bracket: 74 ft.lb. Rear pins: 26 ft.lb..

My '08 T&C 4.0 almost at 270000kms which is considered a lot up in Canada. I think our harsh winters shorten the lifespan of vehicles.
Some of you give me hope that mine will hit 300k.

Sold my 2002 DGC Sport in 2018, with over 370,000 km on it, and in fine working condition. Still had original struts, water pump, radiator/heater cores, ice cold air conditioning, rocker panels and lots of other stuff. It was driven daily over secondary roads and highways in the winter salt. I kept it corrosion protected, inside and out, including the engine bay, with yearly applications of Fluid Film and similar products.

270,000 km is just a half life for some of these vans here, especially ones used in delivery/shuttle service. Additional corrosion protection is a must, otherwise corrosion will get you sooner or later, regardless of what vehicle one drives.

Just purchased, 2012 Touring L 295,347 miles, not sure what I've gotten myself into, motor ticks, transmission slips, front seat is ripped to shreds. It drives straight and stops.
Should get you to where you are going. :)

Time for oil/filter change for engine and transmission, Valvoline 5W-30 in the engine and licensed ATF+4 in the transmission.

Better get some bear spray in case the bear comes back to get more bugs out of the front seat. :)

Hi! Many greetings from Norway for all the members! I'm quite new here! Last summer I bought Chrysler Grand Voyager 2008.(5.generation) stow n go. I liked this car because of the space inside and the back seats that go down in the floor.

Stealing vehicles can get one in trouble. Check for tracking devices. (y)
