I asked my regular mechanic and he said he could put a used tranny in with a guarantee for $3k or less. You could also wait for a snowstorm then find one that was rear ended and buy the whole thing as a parts car, I see them for $2k or so and I'm on the lookout for one by me.

During that time, I replaced the front struts, control arms, sway bar links, and brakes on the front axle. Changed front motor mount and spark plugs, its been a very reliable and trusty vehicle.
I am about to pick up a 2012 with 205k miles and see if we can push that into the 300k.

2013 Limited, No Sunroof, No Power 3rd row. Has OEM Hitch and Nivomats, and 509W audio with a subwoofer. The Interior is rare brown, not seen often. Its rust free sothern car.
Yes I thought it was very unique and quite rare in a sea of black interiors. Once in a while I spot a beige interior in 08-10s but not too often.
