Everything works on our 23-year-old van, which we bought new and I've lovingly maintained all these years.
But there's some nasty rust and the seats are beginning to fail internally, so we have finally decided to replace it.
Because it needs TLC to continue being useful, we don't want to sell it to someone who'll put it on one of those lots where people who can't afford cars go because it will likely soon fail on them if they aren't also a mechanic.
We thought about donating it to a local trade school as something the students would practice on.
Or, taking it to a salvage yard, so its parts (many of which are not very old) could be useful.
What do you suggest?
