They have a version that works with Android infotainment screens in the car. I'm more than a bit skeptical, but I ordered one to see how it goes.

Never even heard of these. Says it works with 17+ Dodges.... so support probably starts with the Pacifica and this will be useless for us.

My 3-year-old truck's Apple CarPlay doesn't support wireless pairing, but this Carlinkit adapter makes it possible

I am thinking of getting the Motorola unit for Android Auto, or looking for a unit that supports both CarPlay and Android Auto.

I put an Alpine iLX-F509 that has wireless carplay in my other car. I wasn't sure I'd use it a lot, but it makes it pretty easy so I do use it more than I thought I would.
