Best glue/adhesive to hold body panels on lower door 2006 T&C

2006 Town & country.
On my driver door, the plastic panel that is stuck on the lower section of the door has come loose at the leading edge & when I open my door, scrapes along the outside of the fender.
It looks like there was an adhesive strip on the top & bottom & the glue has given up the ghost.
What would be a good glue to squeeze down in there before it gets worse?
(available in the states & works in cold temps?)
Thanks

It likely used 3M trim adhesive tape (foam core double sided PSA).
You could probably use some automotive urethane adhesive to re-attach, but you'd need to clean up the glue seam area and may not be able to pull it off again without damaging the panel or paint.

Cold temps is a problem, use heat gun or space heater if you can...

I vote for 3M VHB tape. (VHB = Very High Bonding)

When we took possession of our '02, an accident repair improperly completed resulted in the side moldings 'falling off', literally. We removed, cleaned, and reinstalled them with the 3M tape, and they have been perfect for 11 years now.

You can buy the 3M tape in many places, from auto body/parts supply houses to WalMart.

ditto on the 3M. Buy the automotive version from a real auto parts store, not the cheaper and less sticky one that places like Home Depot sells.

Ok,
I went with the 3M tape.
Instructions said 65° (F) temp was required.
So I set up a propane space heater several feet away & was able to warm up the door & the loose panel.
I didn't pull the whole thing off, just put a block of wood down in between so that I could scrape off the old foam tape & clean up the surfaces with some acetone that I had laying about.
Cut the tape to size, stuck it on the door, pulled off the plastic strip, & pressed the panel into position.
It worked.
Just wish I would have caught the problem earlier as some paint has been scratched off the panel where it was rubbing each time the door was opened.....
Oh well, 12 year old car.
Thanks to those who responded with advice.

Great write up and thank you for the follow-up.
