Not specific to Dorman's housing but does anybody know which ports underneath the housing are for coolant and which ones are for oil?
I’ll quote myself if anyone else is interested: https://www.mightyautoparts.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/tt-0180-chrysler-pentastar-engine.pdf

Just a heads up to anybody who buys the Dorman housing without included cooler. Don’t torque the cooler to the housing using the torque specs from the installation manual aka 35 in lbs. Use the torque specs from the new product that has the cooler included which is 106 in lbs. 35 in lbs is too low. Apparently it looks like one of my cooler screws have worked itself out due to low torque and other strange factors.

So you finally found the issue!

I don't know why anyone would think to use the torque value to install to the plastic housing while installing to the metal housing.

I’m not 100% sure yet that this is the issue and if torquing the cooler down to 106 in lbs will fix it but I sure hope that’s it. I’m waiting for a few tools that I ordered to do this job myself. After that we’ll see.

106 in/lbs for everything but the upper intake witch is 89 in/lbs. Sensors are extra tight at 177 in/lbs.
I've seen some conflicting reports regarding the torque specs for lower and upper intake manifold. For example in Haynes service manual it shows 71 in/lbs for both lower and upper intake. And my personal experience is also that 106 and 89 might be too high since I cracked the corner of my lower intake when torquing down the upper intake manifold to 89 in/lbs. Plus on the upper intake plenum itself it says 7-9Nm.

The upper does like to crack if you put the 89 the manual calls for. The Nm rating on the intake translates to 62-79 in/lbs. I'd use that range and try to keep it on the low side, like 65. The Haynes guys are usually pretty thorough.

Only that the lower intake cracked while torquing down the upper to it. Anyway, too bad I didn't check Haynes and didn't notice the writing on the intake itself before. Too late now. Hopefully the crack stays as it is and won't get bigger. Maybe I should loosen up all the bolts on the upper intake and re-torque them down to 71in/lbs. Not sure, usually if you touch **** it starts to smell.

Don't touch it unless it leaks air.

Really strange that the lower cracked. I've heard of the holes for the upper screws stripping in them, but never cracking there.

While torquing down the upper intake, it probably pulled the lower intake up a bit until it gave in:

Hopefully that crack doesn't go all the way in. Just to be sure you aren't sucking in any dirty air from there, it would be good to smear a bit of RTV on it. Once the RTV is on (so it can penetrate the crack at its widest point), if you want you can loosen that screw about 1/4 turn and retighten to the lower torque. I'd leave the others alone though, so it doesn't put extra stress on that one.

Yeah, I loosened up that screw a bit. I didn’t have RTV at hand so I smudged a bit of glue into the crack to keep the upper and lower part in contact.
The crack is in that corner:

I can’t check the oil filter housing side of it because there’s no room there. Even for endoscope camera. And I don’t feel like taking everything apart again.
If the crack is in that small corner only then it should be ok I guess/hope. And if I understand correctly then driving doesn’t push the intakes apart but pull them together since air is coming in not going out.
Fuel trims show that it’s running slightly rich, same as before, so no air leak at least not yet.

The one in my original post is without the cooler block and cap. They stopped selling it when they released the one with everything that you showed.

The rockauto listings. Includes cooler (on top) which some didn't.

The rock auto one appears to be same one I posted from Amazon.ca only its lower priced ny around $50 cad

Do are we of th3 concensus that the Dorman part number has changed from op page 1 part # ?

Someone tried the SKP one. Machining seems better than Dorman's.

Maybe we need a thread along with rock auto and Amazon.ca and
Com numbers .

There's many that claim the $90-140 cad ones worked for them , some said they needed to file or sand down to level the bottom , while others said went straight in with supplied seals, no leaks or issues, some review after its in seevice for a few months.

When buying from rockauto, beware of the shipping cost that can be excessive for some heavy parts.
How long are you going to keep the vehicle? A plastic one may serve you just fine. In that case, consider a Mopar unit as an option.

Quick question :

Does a 2015 dgc when upgraded to dorman metal oil filter housing need a different filter than it did before?? Dorman 926-959 with orange cap

The filter in photos look similar to the fram recomended for dgc. Which I have ready to install. Also does Dorman include a filter ?

With latest Dorman part number they include a orange cap with bolted on Tag that states only use purolator filter and a part number
